A tailor’s shop in the historic town of Hoi An was voted second among the world’s 25 best tailor shops, according to the British Sunday Times magazine.

The Bao Khanh tailor shop at 101 Tran Hung Dao Street was also voted provider of best quality goods and services a in Viet Nam. The prices are reasonable and sales people are friendly and hospitable, according to the magazine.

"I’m more than surprised to know about this. It’s not only a great honour for me but also the town for the Tet holiday," shop owner Trieu Quoc Binh said.

The tailor’s shop started business in the early 1990’s specialising in western style clothing and traditional costumes for local customers. Its name and trademark has become well-known throughout Viet Nam and among international tourists.

Hoi An was also recognised recently as one of Viet Nam’s most charming towns by the Belgium Le Soir newspaper.
