The park is located in Tam Nong dist, Dong Thap province and covers five communes of Tan Cong Sinh, Phu Duc, Phu Tho, Phu Thanh and Phu Hiep and Tram Chim small town. If depart from Ho Chi Minh city you first should take National Highway 1A heading of the southwest as far as 130km then turn right to national Highway 30 at the intersection An Thanh Trung pass Cao Lanh city and take the way to Hong Ngu dist as you meet the intersection Thanh Binh at the milestone 22km a sign-board shows the direction to the  Tram Chim national park, 18km far ahead.
