Itinerary: PhnomPenh - Kampong Cham - Kampong Thom - SiemReap - PhnomPenh – Sihanoukville (11 days)

  

Day 1: Phnom Penh Arrival

Welcomed by our expert tour guide upon arrival at Phnom Penh Int'l Airport. Check-in hotel. City tour to the Royal Palace, the Silver Pagoda and The National fine-arts Museum and Wat Phnom, the oldest monument in the city, from which Phnom Penh derived its name. Hanging around the Central Market and Russian Market to discover daily life of Cambodian people. Overnight at the hotel.  

Day 2: Phnompenh - Kampong Cham

After breakfast in Phnom Penh depart for Kampong Cham, also called "The Garden City" and the main town in the province of that name. After check-in at your hotel we will continue by car to visit a rubber plantation and a rubber factory by crossing Kizona Bridge. Return to Kampong Cham for lunch. Afternoon visit Phnom Pros (the hill of men) and Phnom Srei (the hill of women) from which you can admire the surrounding panorama. Sightsee interesting temples in the area which dated back to 12th and 13th centuries. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Kampong Cham - Kampong Thom

After breakfast depart for Kampong Thom. Upon arrival in Kampong Thom check-in hotel before leaving for Sambor Prei Kuk, the capital of the once powerful Empire of Chenla which predates the Khmer Angkor period. Stop en route for sightseeing and intermingle with the local people. Visit Sambor Prei Kuk. According to inscriptions found in the area, Sambor Prei Kuk was the capital of Icanavarman (616AD - 635AD) and residence of the King who had conquered the Empire of Funan. Return to Kampong Thom and have some free time to explore the city. Overnight at the hotel.  

Day 4: Kampong Thom - Siemreap

After breakfast at your hotel, transfer by air-con vehicle to Siem Reap. Check in hotel after arriving. In the afternoon visit Tonle Sap lake by wooden boat and cruise about 1hour to visit floating village. Over night in Siem Reap.

Day 5: Siemreap

 Early morning, transfer to see sunrise at Angkor Wat temple and then return to hotel for breakfast. Later star to explore south gate of Angkor Thom: the Bayon temple, the Baphuon, the Elephant Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. Afternoon visit Angkor Wat and view sunset from the top of Phnom Bakheng Hill. Enjoy dinner with traditional Apsara dance performance and overnight Siem Reap. 

Day 6: Siemreap

After breakfast visit the Ta Prohm temple which is a wonderful combination of human genius and natural beauty. Giant trees have grown here for centuries. Turn to visit Ta keo, the "Jewel of Crystal" dedicated to the Hindu God Shiva that was built at the end of the 10th century. Continue to visit the Thommanon, the Chau Say temples and the natural lake of Sras Srang. Lunch. Afternoon visit Angkor Wat. The founder of the temple was Suryavarman II who reigned Cambodia from 1113 to 1152 and built the five towers in the 12th century to dedicate to the Hindu God Vishnu. The plan of the pyramidal conception of the temple combined with spaces, alleys, ditches is an ancient masterpiece of architectural design and construction. Dinner at local restaurant and over night at hotel in Siem Reap.

Day 7: Siemreap - Banteay Srey

After breakfast spend the entire morning in one of the jewels of Angkor, the Banteay Srey Temple which means "Citadel of Women". This temple is built of pink sandstone and presents the most graceful carvings in stone you might ever seen in your life. The temple is dedicated to the god Shiva. Lunch. Go on to Kbal Spean, the river of thousand Lingas, the phallic symbol of the God Shiva. Walking for an hour through the forest to arrive at Kbal Spean. Return to Siem Reap for dinner and over night in your hotel. 

Day 8: Siemreap - Phnompenh - Sihanoukville

In the morning transfer to ferry port for express boat to Phnom Penh or take 40minutes domestic flight to Phnom Penh . Lunch. Departure by coach overland to Sihanoukville. Overnight in Sihanoukville.

Day 9: Sihanoukville

Morning visit the International Port from the outside, Fishing Port and The Independence Square and Golden Lion we then embark on a wooden boat to visit Bamboo island. Free for swimming on the white sandy beach and then visit Tres island for snorkelling. Return to Sihanoukville and overnight.

Day 10: Sihanoukville - Phnompenh

Breakfast at your hotel. AM free at leisure on the beach. In the afternoon transfer back to Phnom Penh. Dinner and overnight in Phnompenh.

Day 11: Phnompenh Departure

Breakfast at hotel, free until transfer to airport for departure. End of the tour.
