Day 1: Thay pagoda and handicraft villages (bike 35km) Start from Hanoi to the 15th century Thay Pagoda, biking through rice paddies. Visiting Chuong village which makes the Vietnamese traditional conical palm-leaf hat. Overnight in Hanoi. Day 2: Nam Hong - Lim Town (bike 40km) Bus transfer to Dong Anh, biking through the Nam Hong flower village and ancient citadel of Co Loa, Thiet Ung village making wooden statues, and the 200-year-old house of a master carpenter. Turn East to Dong Ky village - an wood carving village, biking on dike to Lim town. Enjoy a performance of traditional Quan Ho folk songs performed by local artists clad in traditional dresses. Day 3: Lim Town- Ha Long Leaving for Ha Long. Arrive at Ha Long Bay around noon and board our traditional wooden junk. Explore one of the largest caves in the bay: Sung Sot (Surprise Cave). Day 4: Ha Long Bay Kayak through the floating fishing village in Ha Long Bay, stopping at the floating primary school. A two-hour peddle brings you to the Three Lagoons, which you enter via a sea cavern. Return to the junk and cruise to Three Peach Island. Travel to Titop Beach, anchoring overnight. Day 5: Ha Long - Hanoi Back to Halong Wharf then transfer to Hanoi. End of the services. |
